As an admirer of Jean Graton's 'Michel Vaillant' comics I've always liked all virtual cars of the Vaillante Factory. The French company Hommell created the 'Vaillante Grand Défi' late-90's, influenced by the 'Vaillante Le Mans GT' of the Album '13 au départ' (1963). As only 16 were built they are quite rare and as a result they're almost never for sale.
Only part I'm not sure about is if I like the headlights, derived from a Volkswagen Golf. But they're quite close to the ideas of Graton as you can tell:
And it may look a little bit like a kit-car. It's engine is from Peugeot, a 2.0 four-banger from the (I believe) 306 S16.
And there's one for sale at the moment in Luxembourg at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for 65K euro.

Those French blues are so nice!!
Between this and the Alpine, my goodness
Down with dark metallic blues
Blues should look like this

Powered by a 2.0L 150 HP 4-banger. Very disappointing.

Yeah but it weighs only 800kg. And it has a great chassis since its using the one from a 306 S16.

It uses the chassis from a Hommell Berlinette IIRC. But I'd still expect a more powerful, and racing-derived engine.

Well it's Elise-ish: 167hp, 1800lbs.

I'd rather take the Lotus or XJ220 they have for sale. The headlights on this are a bit too weird for me.

France has great heritage when it comes to nimble sportscars, Alpine sure is great. DB HBR, Bonnet Djet, CD LM or Matra Bagheera all put a smile on my face!

Headlights sure look weird. But a nice try to approach the designs of Graton by using easy to obtain parts of the automotive. Personally not a big fan of the rear-end and rear-lights of that XJ220 (where did they get those again?) but that Lotus Eclat would never end up in my garage as I think it's hideous!

Let's go to France and drive them all!
I've been there once. The food and girls were awesome too :) at least in the south where I was. People were friendly and not like the stereotype of Paris

Great idea! If you're ever near Le Mans don't forget to visit Le Musée des 24 Heures as all mentioned above are there but the Bagheera. Just Paris is bad indeed when it comes to attitude.

720Kgs to be exact. And those 150 HP won't disappoint me with that kind of weight, all depends on your frame of reference I suppose.
